If two parallel lines are cut by a transversal the corresponding angles are congruent according to corresponding angles axiom. Here PQ and RS are are parallel line segments and are cut by the transversal t. Here angle 4 and angle are corresponding angles. As per corresponding angles axiom, angle 4 is congruent to angle 8.
