Is there a shorthand notation for 'converges' or 'diverges'?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just write your limit...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was asking more for the occasion when you do not know the limit, but know that it converges.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

you can just write either\[\lim_{n\to\infty}\{a_n\} \text{ DNE }\]for divergent or\[\lim_{n\to\infty}\{a_n\} =L\]for convergent (L being the as-of-yet undetermined limit we are asserting exists)
