Zero or theeta?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its theeta, theres a picture attached that shows that.

OpenStudy (phi):

first, you know sec(x) = 1/cos(x) (x is easier to type than theta) what quadrants for cos(x) positive (and sec(x) will also be positive)?

OpenStudy (phi):

the way to tell which quadrants cos(x) is positive is remember its definition SOH CAH TOA Cosine is adjacent/ hypotenuse |dw:1342203974341:dw| hypotenuse is always positive, so the sign of cos depends on x being postive which quadrants have positive x?
