Well I dont play the uke but if you're just starting out I would work with slow songs first, maybe (if you want to do current songs) Moments or More than this by One direction? Its easy on the violin so maybe you can try it..

I started out playing Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwoíole/Jason Castro.  It only requires chords C, F, G, Am, Dm, and Em.
