Which of the following is not a secret to successful writing? A. Start Early B. Make Time for Rewriting C. Brainstorming D. Divide and Conquer

OpenStudy (smurfy14):

I would say D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say A. I don't think you necessarily have to start early to write a successful paper. But, you DO need the proofreading and editing, which is what the divide and conquer method is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's D

OpenStudy (day_2010):

I have never heard of 'Divide and Conquer' as a method. So I think 'D'.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

im thinking divide and conquer as well..but it may be a good method if divide and conquer means you do a part of something for one day, another for a different day, and so on. start early is almost synonymous to make time for rewriting so it doesnt sound to be a good choice to say it's not a method brainstoriming is definitely a method therefore by deduction maybe it really is D

http://www.publetariat.com/write/top-posts-2011-five-proofreading-techniques-every-talented-writer-should-know Divide and conquer. Splitting the proofreading process into various stages can help keep the process fresh and the proofreader alert. Spell checking typically constitutes one phase, with grammar, style and punctuation each comprising one of the other three stages of the process. The same effect can be achieved by a multi-tier approach; by approaching the material first word-by-word, then by the sentence, then by the paragraph and finally in sections, the proofreader can achieve optimal results. This strict method of ensuring repeated viewings of the same material can provide surprisingly effective proofreading results.
