Don't really know how to graph these...do you have to put it into y=mx+b?....the graph of y>2x^2+3x+1 contains which of the following points? a. (0,1) b. (-1, -1) c. (1,7) d. (-2,2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u having a graphin calc u can plug it into tht

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya thats true...but how do you tell what points are included?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on lemme plug it into mine

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It wants to know what points. You solve the quadratic. You can use the quadratic formula or the zero property rule. Which one have you learned in school? y>2x^2+3x+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im more familiar with the quadratic formula...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i believe its b it make a U shape upward

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, take the quadratic and solve 2x^2+3x+1. Once you have solved for x, insert the value for x into y =2x^2+3x+1 and solve for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok...thanks for your help!!..both of you:)

uw

Janessia, you did not help. She probably is not sure how to figure out the problem still. Just giving her the answer is not helping her.
