Help to solve.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\log(x + 2) - \log(x - 3) = \log 6\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use here one of the formulas of Log: \[\large Log_x(a) - Log_x(b) = Log_x(\frac{a}{b})\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Apply this formula on Left Hand Side and tell me what you got..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pratu043 are you getting what I am explaining to you or not??

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

\[\LARGE{\log_{} {\frac{x+2}{x+3}}=\log_{}{6}} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is a little mistake @jiteshmeghwal9

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

sorry, its x-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I said there is a little mistake.. Find that mistake... @jiteshmeghwal9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think @pratu043 is online but not online actually...

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

so now cross multiply\[x+2=6(x-3)\]

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

i think @pratu043 is not there :|

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

\[\LARGE{x+2 \over x-3}=6\]

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

\[x+2=6(x-3)\]\[x+2=6x-18\]\[x-6x=-18-2\]\[-5x=-20\]\[x=4\]

Sorry and thanks guys, my mum wanted the computer for a bit.
