In our English 1 class, we are required to post a short paragraph talking about anything related to English usage and learning in our class blog. I was not yet picked to be a poster for this week, but I want to be prepared for when I get picked. So, can anyone please suggest what topics would be interesting to talk about?
hmm common grammatical errors? i mean why do people commit the same common mistakes in English grammar? For example is than and then. also the subject-verb agreements and the use of "did" and "do"
English is a difficult language to learn for many reasons. Here are a few examples: There, they're, and their. To, too, and two. How to write complete sentences, fragments, comma splices, subject-verb agreement, and etc. I would recommend you Google some common grammar errors too. :)
I was hoping someone would suggest something other than common grammatical errors. It's also the topic I have in mind, but all the other posts in our blog are about the same thing. So I wanted to post a different topic. But I guess I'll just go with it lol. Thanks to everyone for helping me out! :] (If anyone comes up with a unique idea though, please do post it here XD thanks~)
Well, it is hard to know what you have learned in class, so no one can give you a topic on that obviously. That is why everyone is giving you topics on "English usage" as you stated.
We've discussed common errors on noun, pronoun, and adjective usage. I didn't bother mentioning it in my question because like I said, the post could be about anything that has to do with English usage. :) Anyway, thanks again for replying. :]
