How does uniform linear motion differ from uniform circular motion? Give two points of difference.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

well for one thing in uniform linear motion acceleration is zero and speed is just constant. as for circular motion, everytime the object has to turn, it has to increase its acceleration to maintain constant speed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Igbasallote: i agree, that UCM is an accelerated motion. but the magnitude of acceleration is a constant (zero). because the speed is constant. we call it an accelerated motion only because the direction of velocity is not constant and changes with every turn. in that sense, the body undergoing UCM is accelerating.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

oh. sorry for that small inaccuracy :S btw...it's LGBASALLOTE haha

jeez...i always get confused between L and I......will try to remember from now on!
