FACTOR COMPLETELY 2X^2-19X+24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you find all the factors that would multiply to get you 24 and they would both be negitive so that you will get negitive 19

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to get 2x^2 it will half to be (2x- )(x- ) the factors you can use to get 24 are 1 and 24, 2 and 12, 3 and 8, and 6 and 4 since you need a odd number you would plug the only one with an od number in where it wont be multiplied with 2 so it would look like (2x-3)(x-8)<=====answer or if u want to further simplify it it would be 2(x-3)(x-8)

OpenStudy (radar):

2(x-3)(x-8) = 2x^2-22x+48 Not 2x^2-19x+24

OpenStudy (radar):

The correct answer was (2x-3)(x-8) not the further simplified answer.
