sketch the vector field F by drawing a diagram F(x,y)=i + xj Where do I start?

anywhere you want just follow the rules it gives you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand it. i is in the x direction j in the y direction. where from here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well no matter where you are i is always of 1 and j is xj which means the higher your x the longer your j.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so lets say x is 5, the j arrow would be 5x longer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why is it sideways?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup :) at the point (5,y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sideways cuss of the i points a pit to the right :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooh and if you go below x axis then the vectors will point downward not upward
