I have one question about the following free verse Poem: INSOMNAIC- There are some nights when sleep plays coy, aloof and disdainful. And all the wiles that I employ to win 5 its service to my side are useless as wounded pride, and much more painful. What does the speaker of the poem "INSOMNIAC" do that is so painful? stays awake all the time never wakes up shows wounded pride we are not told

I know it's not the first choice.

OpenStudy (day_2010):

I would think the first choice. Because an insomniac is someone who does not sleep and cannot.
