Find the value of x and y.

ratio of a 30 - 60 - 90 triangle are \(1:\sqrt{3}:2\) so if the hypotenuse is 30, the short side is 15 and so \(x=15\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For the 30,60, 90 triangle, the ratio is from x clockwise, 1:2:sqrt(3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And if x is 15, the base for the other 30, 60, 90 triangle is also 14 since it's a 45, 90, 45 triangle. I believe that now by using the 1:2:sqrt(3) method, you can solve for y
