wat is a free body diagram?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first, find out surfaces between which friction is acting. then, as per the question, check the direction of 'relative' motion between those surfaces. the friction force will always oppose this direction. now, u know its direction and its magnitude. writing the equations from FBD should be easy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@salini a Free Body Diagram is a vector diagram where we plot all the forces acting on a body and resolve them into x and y components for easy calculations.

OpenStudy (moongazer):

\[f _{f}=(u)(F _{N})\] u is coefficient of friction and Fn is Normal force
