The formula r=3sqrt5L can be used to approximate the speed, r, in miles per hour, of a car that has left skid marks in the length, L, in feet. How far will a car skid at 80mph and at 55mph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[r = 3\sqrt{5L}\] or \[r = 3\sqrt{5}L\] Which one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is for 80 miles per hour

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the square root sign above both 5L or just 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then the other is for 55 miles per hour so its two seperate questions but if you only want to help with one that is fine.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the sqrt is above the 5L
