Multiply:3x+12/8m multiplied by m^2/2x+8

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

what have you tried?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Man I have no idea how to do this :/

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

try factoring 3x + 12 first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That would be 4 right? between the two of them?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

you divided 12 by 3 i think...that's a close thought

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

3x + 12 factors out into 3(x+4) actually

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHHH ok (I completly forgot how to do that)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

so what's the factored form of 2x + 8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2(x+2) ?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

close..if you distribute 2 into x+2 you get 2x + 4 right? means it's not yet right...you're still lacking some number
