What is the name of the compound Al2(SO3)3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think is aluminum(III) sulfate but am not sure about (III)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Al is Aluminum. Since Al only has one charge (+3), you do not need to say Aluminum(III)! Take note that this is SO3, and not SO4. SO4 = Sulfate SO3 = Sulfite So the answer would be Aluminum Sulfite =)

Oh! Thanks :)

Aluminum Sulfite
