log(x+1)=5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the base??

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats all it says

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If base I assume as 10 then: \[\large \log_{10}(x+1) = 5 \implies 10^5 = x+1 \implies x = 10^5 - 1\]

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

let the base be x.then\[\log_{y}{x+1}=5 \]now change it into exponential form\[y^5=x+1\]solve it from here

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

base y *
