OpenStudy (migitmack):

What is the slope of a line that passes through the point (−1, 1) and is parallel to a line that passes through (3, 6) and (1, −2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find slope of line that passes through (3, 6) and (1, −2), can you?

OpenStudy (migitmack):

Obviously I can't

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you even know the formula of slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take (3,6) = (x1, y1) and (1, -2) = (x2, y2) now, slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) substitute the values respectively and u'll have your answer.
