OCW Scholar - Multivariable Calculus 23 Online

Am I right in thinking that this course teaches Vector Calculus - specifically the properties Grad, Div and Curl? Also does it teach the Jacobian and Contour Integrals? I am planning to use this course to prepare for some forthcoming mathematics modules in my degree. I know that we will cover the things above, and wanted to know if this module also covers them? I don't actually know what the Jacobian or contour integrals are (or what they are used for - e.g. in Physics), so if you could tell me that too, it would be great! Many thanks :) NB: I would love to help out answering questions here myself, and be a regular contributor, however, at present I am just about to begin the Multivariable Calculus module, so have insufficient knowledge to advise anyone correctly :p I have done some Multivariable calculus before (PDE's, plus the Linear Algebra components etc), but have forgotten most of it! Oh well.. onwards and upwards :)

this section is pretty lame ... go to main math section. sometimes interesting question regarding multivariable calculus pops up ... that would be good exercise for you. I think multvariable calculus covers them all .. take a look at mit ocw multivariable calculus. it would help quite a bit if not lot.

yeah i feel the same, but im not sure it covers what you talk about???
