what do i do to find the domain and range of the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=2\sqrt{3x+4}-5\]

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

hint: 3x + 4 cannot be negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not negitive..

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

it would be if for example x = -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

doamain is set of x for which y is defined. Since sqrt of negative number is not defind: 3x+4>0 3x>-4 x>-4/3 is the domain range will be the values of y which are correspondent to x from the domain: y=2sqrt0 -5= -5 so range is y> -5

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

remember there is no real number which is sort of a negative

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

myko has it

OpenStudy (anonymous):
