one card is selected at random from a deck of cards. Determine the probability that the card selected is a red card and a black card? my answer is p(red or black)=(26+26)/52=52/52=probability of zero

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

red card AND a black card?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

you're definitely right o.O there's no probability you draw a card and it has two colors

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

however.... 52/52 is 1 not 0...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so what would i need to do

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

first..you make sure if it's red card ANDblack card, or red card OR black card

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question states a red card and black card?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

well then read my second comment :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):
