"A 1.00 m long pendulum is tied to the top of a cupboard. The pendulum is raised so that the string makes an angle of 30 degrees with the vertical. The pendulum is released. If the side of the cupboard is 0.500 m long, what angle will the string make with the vertical when the string is at its highest point under the cupboard?" The basis of the problem is that once the pendulum hits the lowest point, the length of the string is cut in half. I'm not really sure where to begin.
