In this case we multiply the 2nd by -1 and add it to the first one.
So we get this:
4y-2y=6-2
2y=4, y=2
Now we go back to the first equation and we get this:
-2*2-x=-2
x=2-4=-2
So the answer is:
x=-2, y=2
