Which ordered pair is NOT a solution to the following inequality: y<2x-8 5,-10 2,-3 5,8 0,10

OpenStudy (klimenkov):

Why cant you just put the first number instead of x and the second - instead of y and check the inequality?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The given inequation can be written as: \[2x - y > 8\] Now put the solution in this and find which satisfy it..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like for First Part: x = 2 and y = -3 So, \[2(2) - (-3) > 8\] \[4 + 3 > 8\] \[\large 7 \cancel{>} 8\] So this is not true... Like wise plug in the values and check which solution satisfies it..

I have not tried A part because there is some reason.. May be you can guess..
