I was givein this:
"3x +2 [3(x+6)] = 12x --> 3x+2[3x+18]=12x --> 3x+6x+36=12x --> 9x+36=12x --> subtract 9x from both sides of the equation. 36=3x --> divide by 3. 12=x {finished}! then you just plug 12 back in the equation wherever there is an x. Work it until you get one number equals itself example: 112=112"

Now i'm having trouble checking it. I keep getting 144=112

3(12)+2[54]=144 -->
3(12)+108=144 -->
36+108=144 -->
