How does one solve this question using the balanced method in algebra 3x=12

i have never heard of the "balanced method" but if three times my number is 12, then my number must be one third of twelve

nvm I got it it is just a method to check your answer its not lhs = rhs -_- Its ls - rs left side equals right side there we find the answe and prove that left side = right side I just remembred, thanks
