What Are the solutions of 3x^2-11x-4=0 ?

where a=3, b=-11, c=-4.

x = (-(-11) +/- sqrt((-11)^2 - 4(3)(-4))) / (2*3)
x = (11 +/- sqrt(121 + 48)) / 6
x = (11 +/- sqrt(169)) / 6
x = (11 +/- 13) / 6
x = (24 or -2) / 6
