Find the vertex of the following function. f(x) = -2x(squared) - 4x , (the -2x is squared) Enter your answer as an ordered pair, example: (1, -2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-2x^{2}-4x\] vertex is always -b/2a and f(-b/2a) -(-4)/2(-2)--> 4/-4--> -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then plug it in plug it in f(-b/2a)=f(-1) =-2(-1)^2-4(-1)-->-2+4-->2 so (-1,2)
