which of the following are equal to \[\log_{5}A\]? I know that the answers are lnA/ln5 and logA/Log5 but i don't get how those are equal. Please help

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

change of base formula \[\large \log_a b \implies \frac{\log_c b}{\log_c a}\]

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

are you familiar with that property?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sort of…this is a very fast moving class so theres some things that i just don't get very well.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

okay...here's a tutorial (by me) on the properties of logarithms try and see if you can understand. http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/4fa45f8fe4b029e9dc34e0b5

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

it's just that that property is very hard to explain and i think i explained it fairly in that tutorial..

ok thank you ill check it out now.
