it is =rise/run it means how steeper your line is for example you are moving up a hill on a path line an inclined plane the larger the slope of the incline harder it will be for you to move up. the slope of vertical line is too much |(infinity) the slope of horizantal line is zero (you walink on the floor floor has zero slope)
