Distribution property as a rule isn't that vital on this particular problem. Just divide both terms in the numerator by -2.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
What do you get when you do that?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
And remember a negative divided by a negative ALWAYS produces a positive.
OpenStudy (compassionate):
2(x - 5)
-------
-2
The two's cancel
-(x - 5)
-x + 5
or 5 - x
