lol okay so basically a summary is a quick way to write it. So someone can scan it and get a basic idea of the (in this case) chapter.

So like I said, we only need 3-5 sentences.
A good start is to give the setting, the characters and a basic idea of what they are doing.

Alright so I'm gonna say something like

The narrator, ponyboy is a gang member who fell into unfortunate times and lives with his two brothers. They are in (whatever city/state) fighting the odds and trying to survive. Ponyboy's brother is extremely protective and the other one is (whatever he is). The chapter ends with ponyboy reading and thinking about his brothers girlfriend.
