quadratic is (-b(+or -)sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/2a your a=2 b= 3 c=6 just plug and go!!

also notice that the portion of the equation sqrt(b^2 - 4ac) ends up to be sqrt(9-48) which is the square root of a negative.
