simplify each expression 7+2(7x-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 plus 14x -10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

youre welcome

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

you'll have to simplify that further though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you minus 7 from both sides?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

no..you just combine 7 and -10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did..is it -3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 14x - 3. i believe that is what youre suppose to divide

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

-3 + 14x = 14x - 3 they're just the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you don't need to simplify it? or is it already simplified?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can simplify it but it's going to be 4.666666666666666666666666666667

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okk thanks for your helpp again!

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

how did you get 4.666?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

there's nothing you can do about this thing anymore because of the x 14x - 3 is the simplified form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know i know, i just thought that you had to divide before but then i realized its already simplified. thank you!
