Mathematics 8 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the zeros of the polynomial function and state the multiplicity of each. f(x) = 5(x + 8)^2(x - 8)^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is an eyeball problem you see from your eyes that \(-8\) is a zero of \((x+8)^2\) you also see the multiplicity of the zero here \[\large(x+8)^{2\leftarrow\text{right there}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so \(-8\) is a zero of multiplicity 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am sure you can state the other zero, and its multiplicity as well

thanks a bunch! :) it really helped!
