Cindy wants to make lemonade with lemon, water and sugar. To make the lemonade she must use the ratios of lemon to water to sugar, the ratio is 2:2:3. How much water and sugar does she need if she has 39 lemons?

Hint: Let's make the ratio as 1:1:1.5

OpenStudy (ganpat):

we have a ratio of 2:2:3... lemon, water and sugar respectively... given 39 lemons has been used, so water is in proportion with lemon.. so 39 units... and sugar will be 39 * (3/2) = 58.5... units
