When I try to run disk defragmenter a window comes up and says, 'Disk Defragmenter has detected that Chkdsk is scheduled to run on the volume (C). Please run Chkdsk/f.What should i do nw ???

Dear friend, in the first step, do check Task scheduler from system tools menu under accessories menu to find out the Chkdsk task on it, If you find it remove it and then do defragment again.

u should first restart ur computer so that chkdsk run ... and after this u can easily run disk defragmenter

I suggest using other free defragmentation tool such as Auslogics Disk Defrag. The defragmenter within Windows is slow.  Also try restarting your computer as suggested to allow the Chkdsk to run. After that, you can defragment your drives.

Another solution is that run defragmentation on Safe Mode. If you have problem like Normal Mode, run Chkdsk on Terminal mode and that run defragment
