To multiply matrices, the inner dimensions must match. The outer dimensions tell you the dimensions of the? true or false?

OpenStudy (datanewb):

The inner dimensions must match. That is when multiplying two matrices, AB = C, the number of columns of A must equal the number of rows of B. The outer dimensions tell you the dimensions of the product of the two matrices. In the above equation, C would have the same number of rows as A, and the same number of columns as B.
