4x - 2y = 10 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is your goal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve for Y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first isolate the term with y in it -2y=10-4x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i subtracted 4x from both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then just divide by the coefficient(-2) to get y by itself y=-5+2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtract 4x from both sides 4x-4x-2y=10-4x -2y=10-4x divide by -2 on both sides y=(10-4x)/-2 y=2x-5

Thanks =)
