What function is graphed below?
(Graph Below)
f(x) = log x + 3
f(x) = log (x + 3)
f(x) = log x – 3
f(x) = log x – 1

@Calcmathlete Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Plug in the point (1, 3) and see which one works.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
For example:
f(x) = log x – 1
3 = log 1 – 1
3 = 0 - 1
3 ≠ -1
THat is not correct...try another one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
Well, I said point (1, 3)...not(0, 3)...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
How about log 11
OpenStudy (anonymous):
log 1 = 0...

1 I mean....
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Really?
1 = 10^x
x = 0..

Log 1 is zero so put x = 0 and check the formulas against the graph
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Put x = 1, I mean
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Is it f(x) = log x + 3 ????
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Uh huh...
f(x) = log x + 3
3 = log 1 + 3
3 = 0 + 3
3 = 3
THerefore, it is correct.
