How do you solve the inequality for 5n + -7 < 13 or -5n + 5 < -40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5n + -7 < 13 5n -7 < 13 5n < 13+7 n < 20/5 or -5n + 5 < -40 -5n +5-5 < -40-5 -5n < -45 n < -45/-5

Which of these would it be? n < -9 or n > -4 n < -4 or n > -9 n < 9 or n > 4 n < 4 or n > 9

I think I made a mistake in the second one, let me check.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I did, n < -45/-5 should be this n > -45/-5 , it switches when dividing by a negitive. so n < 4 or n > 9 , the fourth one. :)
