since circumference equals pi times diameter, divide the circumference by 3.14 (value of pi)...hope this helps.

Questioner wants "exact" value ie 42/pi any other answer is an approximate answer.

Still not "exact" I'm afraid (and won't be no matter how many dp you calculate). "Exact" means 42/pi (it's conventional)
