Jacki is making a couple of stools for her patio. She needs 8 wooden legs that are each yard long. She wants to cut them from redwood that is 5.25 yards long. How much wood will remain after Jacki cuts the 8 chair legs?

OpenStudy (stephstar101):

Each leg is how long? The info is missing :P

OpenStudy (stephstar101):

8*(3/5 yds)= 4.8 yds <- That's how much wood is used 5.25 yds - 4.8 yds = 0.45 yds <- How much you have - how much you used = how much you have left! :)

thank you :)
