a proton and an electron are free in an electric feild,which one will have greater accleration?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So basically..which will be going faster right?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Both are under the same force, but mass of electron is less than proton. I think you can find now, can't you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm..yea..i got a website that could help out to explain what @ash2326 said. http://sajitsir.tripod.com/Electricity/Electricity6.htm

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@shruti do you get this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the mass is less, then will that one have greater accleration ?@ash2326

OpenStudy (ash2326):

yeah F1=F2 m1a1=m2a2 m1<m2 so a1>a2 F=force m=mass a=acceleration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks @ash2326 and @GOODMAN i got it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem :D @shruti
