The "particles" of gases are actually atoms, or molecules. True False

OpenStudy (anonymous):

molecules. except of noble gas, i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can't say if there is plasma gas or gasses might get ionized but in simple standards true. . .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true. even noble gases are said to have 'monoatomic molecules'. (though, i really don't see the point in devising that term!)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same as "squares are rectangles" I guess ; you can apply the same "properties" for an atom of a noble gas than for a molecule?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its True, i think...

OpenStudy (shane_b):

It's definitely true. All gases at higher temperatures will be monatomic and at STP all of the noble gases are monatomic:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

true

Thank you everyone~
