A box contains several slips of paper. On each slip is written an odd number between 10 and 20. Without looking, you draw one slip of paper. Find the sample space for this experiment.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i cant recall terminology too well; what defines a sample space?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

an experiment or random trial is the set of all possible outcomes.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

ah, ok; then the list (or set) of all possible outcomes are the odd numbers from 10 to 20 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sample space = { 11,13,15,17,19}

mathslover (mathslover):

The sample space would be all odd numbers between 10 and 20.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks! :D

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if we had the option of selecting 2 slips of paper, te set would consist of ordered pairs of add numbers i believe

OpenStudy (amistre64):

....cant type lol
