Hi peps,, can anyone explain to me the exact meaning of biodiversity,, teacher has told me like many times, but still can't get the real meaning.! Hmm, Help :D

Biodiversity and Sustainability Go hand in hand, Biodiversity is the variety of plants and animals in an eco-zone. The greater the biodiversity the much advantageous it is because for example if there is just one type of fish in the pond, one desiese could wipe out the whole population but if there were many differnt kinds of fish, only one species would temperarly be gone. But for biodiversity to succeed there must be sustainability - the ability to sustain or last - there must me enough things such as
- space
- food
- water
- etc
