The distance from the center to the foci is: ((x-3)^2/9)+((y-6)^2/16)=1 a.√7 b.5 c.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are two foci... how do I choose which one to measure?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do I do the distance formula on the center to both of the foci, then add the results?

OpenStudy (klimenkov):

The distance from the center to one foci is equal to the distance from the center to another foci. Find the distance to one of the focies and it will be the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be the square root of 7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get 2.56 though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Probably a rounding mistake.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks

OpenStudy (klimenkov):

Yes, \(\sqrt7\).
