In slope-intercept form, write the equation of the line that is parallel to y= -6x - 22 and passes through (-4,1)

OpenStudy (allank):

I believe you already know that slope intercept form is: y=mx+b You also know that parallel lines have equal gradients(slopes). Thus m for the unknown line will be -6. Given m=-6, and the line passes through point (-4,1) , can you get the equation of the line now?
